GMC Videos Explore Theme of What it Means to Be a Good Physician

The United Kingdom's General Medical Council (GMC) is promoting a series of videos exploring medical professionalism, produced during a recent special conference titled “Medical Professionalism: Whose Job is it Anyway?”

The event brought together physicians, medical students and patient representatives to discuss the meaning of medical professionalism to various stakeholders in the United Kingdom.

Organizers of the event produced videos of participants answering the simple question “Whose job is medical professionalism?” — posting the videos later to YouTube. In addition, speeches by keynote presenters were produced and distributed. Individuals address the general topic of medical professionalism as well as unique challenges faced by medical professionals in the United Kingdom.

To learn more about the videos, visit the GMC's You-Tube channel at www.youtube.com/user/GMCUKtv.
